Webjam residuum
Well Webjam has come and gone, but what a great night.
I think it is pretty safe to say that most people are looking forward to the next one, whenever that maybe.
I think the highlights of the night for me were:
- Nick Cowie’s attack on peoples websites and how they dont work on mobile devices, most who seemed to be at Webjam
- Gary Barber’s version of Web 3.0
- The Scouta boys with ICCARUS (seriously cool) Video also available
- Meeting people who actually understood my t-shirt
- Winning a random voter prize for Canvas Photos
It was a pretty interesting night with people speaking on topics from workspace sharing to weather and watering information systems for growers to a photo sharing/displaying website design.
With over 100 people there and 14 speakers, it was a great turnout for Perth’s first Webjam.
Huge kudos have to go to Myles for bringing Webjam over here. Also for the Webjam crew Lachlan, Lisa and Tim for coming over and doing their thing.
Off topic, but still cool, the city for Pod Camp gets announced tonight. I also recommend checking out the video made by Bronwen and Myles as they try and coerce more people to register :)
